2017 top three.
Today is the last day of 2017.
2017 was a very creative year for me since I started my food blog. Starting a blog wasn’t something that I had in my mind until February of 2017 when my friend Anna asked me why I do not have a blog. The truth is I didn’t have an answer. So, I thought why not Teti? And then Teti’s flakes was born.
At the beggining I thought that making a blog would be easy. But the truth is that there are a lot of things that I didn’t have in mind. My biggest problem was – and still is – the proper lighting. Cooking a delicious recipe wasn’t a problem for me but finding the right light for photographing the dish…oh, this is a huge problem! You see, I have a full-time job and thus during the week I only have time during afternoon where there is no day light especially during winter days.
Finding proper light for taking some photos made me looking forward for weekend. Who would have imagined that? Dedicated my whole weekend for something else instead of relaxing and getting some rest? But yes, this happened a lot of times. And the truth is that I looooved it! Every weekend I was so happy that I had two whole days for discovering and tasting new recipes, taking some photos on my balcony (I think that my neighbors believe that they live next to a crazy woman who moves out her whole kitchen on the balcony with no reason) and editing a post.
Now that 2017 ends I took a look back on my posts. I have to admit that there is a huge progress on my posts and I am very, very happy for that! And you know what? I think that 2018 will be even better!
Speaking of my posts, I had a look on my statistics in order to see which posts you have visited the most. On 2017, 3.026 people visited my blog and I would like to say a great thank you to each one. Visiting my blog, liking the posts and commenting means a lot for me! Really thank you!
Now, let’s see my top 3 of 2017.
Number 3: My mother cooks better than yours
The post “My mother cooks better than yours” has to do with meatballs and makalo, a.k.a. meatballs in white sauce. Sout makalo is a traditional dish in my hometown and my mother knows how to perfectly cook it. It is a very easy to make and delicious recipe that you must try it!
Number 2: Healthy sunny Sundays
Who doesn’t love pancakes? Especially if the pancakes are healthy and light! Loved it!
Number 1: Greek honey Christmas cookies
And the winner is…………Melomakarona!I’m very gald that you liked this recipe. It’s awesome!
Well, maybe melomakarona post is not the winner. Why? Because I think that I am the winner of 2017 since I have found what I really love. Cooking and tasting new recipes, styling the dish and photographing is something that makes me feel more creative than ever before. So definitely I am the winner!
If you haven’t found your passion yet I wish on 2018 to find it!
Happy new year!
