Easy 4-Ingredient Lemon Dessert
WHAT IS THE 4-INGREDIENT LEMON DESSERT?
Inspired by the American lemon icebox cake, this dessert was born in the early 20th century in the United States, during the rise of the household icebox. At that time, home cooks started creating no-bake desserts with just a few ingredients but big flavor. The icebox cake quickly became a favorite for its refreshing taste and ease of preparation.
Our version, made with Greek yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, fresh lemon, and cookies, is a lighter, Mediterranean twist. It comes together in minutes, requires no mixer or oven, and delivers a zesty, creamy delight.
WHAT MAKES THIS DESSERT SO SPECIAL?
-
The yogurt: adds a light, velvety texture and a pleasant tang.
-
The sweetened condensed milk: brings sweetness and binds everything together without cooking.
-
The lemon: offers brightness, balances the sweetness, and adds irresistible aroma.
-
The cookies: provide structure and texture, creating the perfect contrast to the creamy filling.
