In this section you can find my Kitchen Essentials List. The list comprises of things that I own and use almost daily in my kitchen.
Kitchen standard equipment
My Kitchen Essentials List begins with some standard equipment that I can’t live without.
I barely live without my KitchenAid food processor. Mine, was a wedding gift from my beloved friends. Good job guys, this was an excellent gift. I use it almost for everything. From making cakes, meringues to any doughs, such as pizza or pie dough.
As I said, mine was a gift. But after making the needed research I suggest buying it from amazon.de. Amazon.de was the cheapest and more reliable online choice. The one that I suggest costs 509,00 € (excluding possible shipping and delivery costs). At the same time in Greece you can find it at 635,00 € during sales season, and 749,00 € without any discount. Quite a deal, right?
This ice maker attachment made my life so easier. I bought it from amazon.de (click here) summer of 2019. I was thinking of buying it for two years but its price was telling me a no. But, amazon.de once again saved me. I found it half price from every physical or e-shop in Greece. And it came straight to my door and made my summer so delicious.
The one that I suggest costs 64,49 € (excluding possible shipping and delivery costs) while at the same time in Greece you can find it at 116,00 € during sales season, and 145,00 € during no sales season.
A must have for those who love home made ice cream. I used it for making my Beetroot ice cream with basil and walnuts. Works with all UK and European KitchenAid Mixers.
Since I already own the KitchenAid Food Processor I decided to add one more attachment to my collection. The slow juicer and sauce attachment.
I am a huge fan of fresh juices and also love to make sauces from the scratch. So, I could not resist from buying it.
It has three pulp screens: low pulp, high pulp and saucing/jams. It is a great attachemnt especially if you love juices and cleaning. You see, there a lot of pieces that need to be carefully cleaned. The attachment comes with a cleaning “toothbrush” for this purpose.
Worth mentioning that even though I have read in some reviews that the juicer can’t handle carrots, I have managed to make some beetroot juice withouth any problem.
Bought it from amazon.de where I have found the attachment in its lowest price. It cost me (excluding possible shipping and delivery costs) while in greek stores the attachment costs 215,00 € during sales season, and 269,00 € on non-sales period.
What can I possibly say about these knives? I am in love with Chef’s knife. I use it almost for everything, it’s my partner in crime. Now, cutting beautiful slices of bread is now possible for me, while the utility knife is always by my side when Chef’s knife isn’t suitable for.
I have to admit that I do not use so frequently the Carving knife, I am faithful to the previous knives. Last but not least is the sharpener. After using my knives for a long period I am so glad that I have chosen the block with the sharpener. It is a life saver for my knives, and for me. The suggested knife block consists of the following: 1 knife block, 1 Chef’s knife 20 cm, 1 bread knife with double serrated edge 20 cm, 1 Carving knife 16 cm, 1 Utility Knife 10 cm, 1 Sharpener.
The 6 pieces knife block costs only 106,00 € (excluding possible shipping and delivery costs) from 229,00 € (you save 123,00 €).
This was my list Kitchen Essentials List. A list that I will update in the future, when and if after trying something new I will still have a great smile on my face.
